Anxiety often has its roots in unresolved Trauma, unmet needs, and negative core
beliefs formed in early childhood. Anxiety is not just a mental state but affects our
overall well-being. When anxiety takes hold of us it can impact many areas of our lives
often leaving us feeling overwhelmed and disconnected. We might be doubting
ourselves, avoiding social situations, or feeling tense, irritable, or restless. Anxiety can
create a constant sense of worry, making it difficult to focus, sleep, or connect with
others.
In our work together I will support you in developing a new relationship with anxiety,
seeing it not as a problem to be fixed but as an opportunity for self-awareness and
growth. We will explore your thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and physical responses to
understand the roots of your anxiety and begin adressing them in a compassionate way.
We will inquire how your nervous system responds to anxiety and practice strategies to
soothe and regulate yourself.
As you approach anxiety with curiosity and kindness, you will find that it has valuable
messages to offer, ultimately helping you build resilience and emotional regulation.
Anxiety is just another part of our human experience and if we learn to attend to it
instead of pushing it away we will find new ways to navigate our emotions with greater
ease and create a deeper connection to ourselves.

My approach is gentle and calm. I create a warm, safe, and non-judgmental space that allows you to bring and explore whatever you feel comfortable with. I tailor my approach to your specific needs and you will decide the pace that works best for you.
I believe that the counseling process is not about providing answers, but rather about collaboratively uncovering the answers that already exist within you. It's a journey of self-exploration, helping to unravel the intricacies of thoughts and emotions, and shining a light on the unseen aspects of your inner world.
I will support you in understanding what might lie underneath your difficulties and together we will identify strategies to help you move forward.
